Traditional Rituals
Worship consists in punlic and at local shrines, but Shinto worship can also be private to. Prayers are said to kami either to gain something or to thank the kami for good things that have occured. People visit shrines for festivals, personal spiritual reasons, or to acquire a certain request like good luck on a test or shield for a family member. Prayers can be said at anytime needed, there is no vital time that prayers need to be said.
